in-shore rocks awash N of Adelaide Anchorage, Adelaide Island, were charted by an RN Hydrographic Survey Unit from John Biscoe in 1963 and named after Leading Engineer Mechanic Donald Patience, RN (b.1941), a member of the survey party (BA, 1963, p.13; APC, 1964, p.4; BA chart 3577, 14.viii.1964).
