La Investigación Discovery que cartografió esta isla en 1935 la llamó isla Square End. El nombre actual es una traducción adaptada por el Instituto Hidrográfico de la Armada de Chile en 1962. Es una isla pequeña situada a 4,3 millas al NNE de península Morro Plano y separada 6 cables de la costa SW de isla Rey Jorge, islas Shetland del Sur. |
