Feature n.12 in ACAN minutes of 19/06/2000. A nunatak 0.8 mi SE of Micou Point, Ross Island. It rises to c. 200 m at the S end of Endeavour Piedmont Glacier. At the instance of P R Kyle, named by US-ACAN after Haroun Tazieff (d.), a renowned French volcanologist who worked at Mount Erebus with several groups of French scientists in three field seasons, 1973- 79.
