A mountain ridge about 11 km long extending north-south between the Byrd Glacier and the Hatherton Glacier. Named Dusky Mountains by the Darwin Glacier party of the Trans-Antarctic Expedition (1956-58) because of the almost complete lack of snow on the eastern faces and associated dry valleys. The generic ridge is considered more appropriate than mountains.

An ice-free rock ridge, 9 mi long and 2 mi wide, between Lieske and Hinton Glaciers in the Britannia Range. Named "Dusky Mountains" by the Darwin Glacier Party of the CTAE (1956-58) because of the lack of snow on its slopes. The name was amended to Dusky Ridge following remapping of the feature by the USGS from surveys and U.S. Navy air photos, 1960-62.
