Place ID: 10581
A former bay described as 'about 3 miles wide and about 4 miles long'. The feature was formed where the Ross Ice Shelf pushed out beyond a curve of King Edward VII Land's coast. The original bay no longer exists due to movement in the Ross Ice Shelf and the calving of Iceberg B-9 in 1986. However, as the Ross Ice Shelf continues to push forward the bay may reform in this area. |
