Presenta un aspecto de semicono, cuya cara plana y a pique está libre de nieve, siendo la otra cara de una suave pendiente nevada. El monte aparece con su nombre en las cartas levantadas por la Expedición Antártica Francesa de 1908-1910, al mando del Dr. Jean B. Charcot, aunque su denominación puede haber sido anterior. Monte de 434 metros de elevación, ubicado a 2 millas al E del cabo Lehaie, costa S de la isla Brabante, archipiélago de Palmer.

An island off the eastern side of Browning Peninsula, Windmill Island. The region was photographed by USN Operation Highjump (1946-47) ANARE (1956) and the Soviet Antarctic Expedition (1956). Named after the Reverend H Birkenhauer, F.S J, seismologist at Wilkes in 1958.

rising to 435m on Hulot Peninsula (q.v.), Brabant Island, Palmer Archipelago, was named Monte Beddie by AAE following an earlier naming, probably by FAE, 1903-05 (Argentina. MM chart 106, 1949; Pierrou, 1970, p.195; Chile. IHA, 1974, p.43). Mount Beddie (APC, 1986, p.3).

A rounded, snow-covered mountain rising to 435 m on Hulot Peninsula in the SW end of Brabant Island, Palmer Archipelago. The mountain was charted and named by the FrAE, 1903-05, led by Jean B. Charcot.
