S of Victory Glacier, Trinity Pensiula, on Prince Gustav Channel, was sighted by SwAE in 1903; following survey by FIDS from "Hope Bay" in August 1945, named after Capt. Keith Allan John Pitt (b. 1911), Master of the Falkland Islands Company ship Fitzroy, 1940-46, who assisted in establishing FIDS stations, 1944-46 (BA chart 3205, 23.ix.1949; APC, 1955, p.17; BA, 1965, p.13; BAS 250 sheet SP 21-22/13, 1-DOS 1974). Punta Pitt (Chile. DNH chart L, 1951; IHA, 1974, p.228). The point was resurveyed by FIDS from "Hope Bay", 1959-60. An Argentine refuge hut was established on the point, 18 September 1964, and called "Sargento Cabral" after Sgto Cabral, of the Argentine Army (Glaciar Sargento Cabral q.v.). "Sorkhento-Kabral" (Soviet Union. AA, 1966, Pl.24).

Promontory, 90 m high, at the S side of the mouth of Victory Glacier on the S coast of Trinity Peninsula. Charted by the FIDS in 1945, and named for K.A.J. Pitt, master of the 1944-45.

Fue cartografiada por el FIDS en 1945, puesto este nombre por K.A.J. Pitt, patrón del "Fitz-Roy" que concurrió al establecimiento de las bases del FIDS en 1944-1945. La constituye un promontorio de 91 metros con roca a la vista en su costado E, está situada al S de la desembocadura del glaciar Victory, en la costa SE de la península Luis Felipe.
