between Red Rock Ridge and Bertrand Ice Piedmont, Marguerite Bay, Fallières Coast, was probably sighted by FAE, 1908-10, in January 1909; surveyed by BGLE in 1936 and resurveyed by FIDS from "Stonington Island" in October 1948; named after John Riddoch Rymill (1905-68), Australian polar explorer and Leader of BGLE; member of BAARE and of British expedition to E Greenland, 1932-33 (Leader, following death of H. Bay, 9 mi wide at its mouth and indenting 5 mi, entered between Red Rock Ridge and Bertrand Ice Piedmont along the W coast of Graham Land. Probably first seen from a distance by the FrAE under Charcot in 1909. The bay was first surveyed in 1936 by the BGLE, and was resurveyed in 1948 by the FIDS. The name, proposed by members of the BGLE, is for John R. Rymill, Australian leader of the BGLE, 1934-37. |

Esta bahía fue avistada seguramente por el Dr. Jean B. Charcot en el año 1909. El nombre fue propuesto por miembros de la Expedición Británica de 1934-1937, en honor a John R. Rymill, australiano, jefe de la Expedición. Recibe este nombre en la ensenada que se forma a 8 millas al SSE de morro Roca Roja; mide 7 millas de ancho en su boca por 4 de saco, limita por el NW en los islotes Refugio. La bahía se presenta por lo general cubierta por una gruesa capa de hielo. |
