S of San Martín Glacier, Argentina Range, Pensacola Mountains, rising to 735m at Ruthven Bluff and including also Lisignoli Bluff, Sosa Bluff and Pujato Bluff, were surveyed from the ground on USGS Pensacola Mountains Project, 1965-66, and photographed from the air by USN in 1967; named after Dr Otto Schneider, Chief Scientist, Instituto Antártico Argentino, Buenos Aires (USGS sheet SU 21-25/11, 1968; APC, 1974, p.6).
