rising 25 m above sea level off Telefon Point, S King George Island, were charted by August F. Christensen, Manager of the Vesterlid whaling expedition, 1908-09, and named Telefon Klippene after the 4000-ton Norwegian collier Telefon (Kapt. Roland Nilsen) which was stranded on the rocks, 27 December 1908, while carrying coal to the Magellan Whaling Company at Deception Island (Aagaard, 1930, p.251-52). The ship was salvaged, beached for the winter of 1909 on Telefon Bay (q.v.), and sailed to Punta Arenas in February 1910. Group of rocks 1.5 mi SSW of Demay Point, at the W side of the entrance to Admiralty Bay, King George Island, in the South Shetland Islands. Named after the Telefon, a vessel which went aground and was abandoned there in 1908.

Desde el año 1908 se le dio este nombre pues en ellas el buque "Telefon" se despedazó. Grupo de rocas a 1,5 milla al SW de punta Demay en la costa W de la entrada a bahía Almirantazgo, isla Rey Jorge, en las islas Shetland del Sur. Forman un grupo de piedras altas, algunas de las cuales alcanzan una elevación de 46 metros.
