A glacier on the Banzare Coast flowing northwards into the southern side of Paulding Bay. Delineated from air photographs taken by USN Operation Highjump. Named by USACAN after E. Thompson, midshipman on the sloop Peacock, one of the ships of the US Exploring Expedition (1938-42) under Lieut. (later Rear Adm.) C. Wilkes, USN.
