The southernmost nunatak in the Grosvenor Mountains lying six miles south of Block Peak. It has an elevation of 2700 metres. Discovered by the Byrd AE, 1929-30, when Byrd was on his flight to the South Pole in November 1929. Named by Byrd at that time for Paul Block (Junior) son of a patron of the expedition. Formerly known as Mt Paul Block. |

Named after Captain Nils Larsen, master of the Norwegian exploration ship Norvegia, which was in the vicinity of Amundsen Bay in January, 1930. |
