NE-most feature of La Grange Nunataks, Shackleton Range, rising to 850 m, were photographed from the air by USN in 1967 and surveyed from the ground by BAS from Halley, 1968-71; named after Anthony True (b.1945), BAS surveyor, Halley, 1968-70, who worked in Shackleton Range (APC, 1974, p.6; BAS 250P sheet SU 26-30/1, 1-DOS 1978).
