five rocks rising 5m above sea level, NE of Cape Willems, Danco Coast, were photographed from the air by FIDASE in 1956-57; in association with the names of pioneers of photography grouped in this area, named after Louis-Marie-Auguste Boutan (1859-1934), French naturalist; pioneer of submarine photography, 1893-98 (APC, 1960, p.3; BA chart 3566, 25.viii.1961).

Small group of rocks lying 1.5 miles SW of Bruce Island, off the W coast of Graham Land. The rocks appear on an Argentine government chart of 1954. Named by the UK-APC in 1960 for Louis-Marie-Auguste Boutan (1859-1934), French naturalist and pioneer of submarine photography, 1893-98.

A mountain ridge on the eastern side of Amundsen Bay, Enderby Land, about 22 km SSW of Mount Riiser-Larsen. Sighted in October, 1956, by an ANARE party led by Peter W. Crohn. Named after G. Gleadell, cook at Mawson in 1954.
