A glacier lying on the SE flank of Salient Ridge that flows NE to Blue Glacier, Victoria Land. Named by NZGB in 1994 for Charles Bowden, first chairman of the Ross Dependency Committee during Sir Edmund Hillary's South Pole Expedition, part of the CTAE in 1957. Bowden also served as a member of the New Zealand Parliament until 1955. |

A prominent peak nearly central in the Porthos Range of the Prince Charles Mountains. Its height is about 1,981 m. Two slight peaks rise at the eastern end of crest; the western half of the northern face is snow-covered. Located 49 km ESE of Mt. Bichervaise. Visited by an ANARE southern party led by William G. Bewsher in December, 1956. Named after L.G. Gardner, diesel mechanic at Mawson in 1956. |
