Ice-filled inlet about 22 mi long, indenting the NE coast of Thurston Island between Evans and Lofgren Peninsulas. Discovered on helicopter flights from the USS Burton Island and Glacier by personnel of USN Bellingshausen Sea Expedition in February 1960. Named by US-ACAN for Capt. John Cadwalader, USN, chief of staff to U.S. Antarctic Projects Officer and representative of Task Unit Commander aboard the Burton Island in February 1960. |
