W side of Cabinet Inlet, Foyn Coast, was photographed from the air by RARE and surveyed from the ground by FIDS from "Stonington Island" in 1947; in association with the names of members of the British War Cabinet in this area, named after The Rt Hon. Richard Gardiner Casey, 1st Baron Casey (1890-1976), Australian statesman; Minister of State in the British War Cabinet, 1942-43; Minister for External Affairs, Australia, 1951-60 (BA chart 3570, 27.vi.1952; APC, 1955, p.7; DCS 601 sheet 66 62, 1955). Conspicuous cape surmounted by a peak 755 m, marking the E end of the peninsula projecting into Cabinet Inlet immediately S of Bevin Glacier, on the E coast of Graham Land. Charted by the FIDS and photographed from the air by the RARE in 1947. Named by the FIDS for Rt. Hon. Richard G. Casey, Minister of State and Australian member of the British War Cabinet.

Fue cartografiado en 1947 por una Expedición Británica y aerofotografiado, ese mismo año, por la Expedición de Ronne, recibiendo su nombre por el Honorabilísimo Richard G. Casey ministro de Estado y miembro australiano del Gabinete de Guerra Británico. Es un cabo conspicuo, coronado por un pico de 753 metros de altura, que constituye la extremidad E de una península baja que se proyecta desde la costa W de ensenada Reales Cédulas, a unas 10 millas al NNE de isla Stanley, costa oriental de la península Tierra de O'Higgins.

An area of submerged rocks about 1 km from Anchorage Island, Vestfold Hills. The rocks extend over an area of about 90 m by 55 m and have a least depth of 1 metre. Depths of 5 m or less extend for about 132 m eastwards. The shoal area was delineated and fixed by d'A.T. Gale, hydrographic surveyor with the ANARE Expedition on the MV Thala Dan led by D.F. Styles in 1961.
