Dentro de ensenada Exasperación, costa oriental de la península Antártica. El nombre es traducción del británico "Caution" y fue aprobado por la C.C.G. en 1956. Se debe al cuidado o atención que debe tenerse para avistar a los accidentes desde el aire en esa zona. SHN carta H-7.

N side of Crane Glacier, Exasperation Inlet, Oscar II Coast, was photographed from the air by Wilkins on 20 December 1928; surveyed by FIDS from "Hope Bay" in 1947, and so named in reference to Crane Glacier (q.v.) and the need for caution in locating features from the air (BA chart 3570, 27.vi.1952; APC, 1955, p.7). Punta Atención [translation of English name] (Argentina. MM chart 110, 1957). Punta Caution, as rejected name (Argentina. MM, 1957b, p.1). The point was further surveyed by FIDS from Hope Bay in 1961. Mys Koshen (Soviet Union. MMF chart, 1961).

Point 4 mi NE of Mount Birks, marking the E end of a rocky range which forms the N wall of Crane Glacier, on the E coast of Graham Land. Photographed from the air by Sir Hubert Wilkins on a flight of Dec. 20, 1928. Named by the FIDS who charted it in 1947.

Fue fotografiada desde el aire por Sir Hubert Wilkins el 20 de diciembre de 1928. El FIDS la llamó Caution Point, en 1947. El nombre actual recuerda al geólogo Carlos Lamperein, del Instituto Antártico Chileno, que efectuó trabajos científicos en 1969. Punta que se ubica a 4 millas al NE del monte Birks y a 8 millas al N de la punta Delusión, marcando el extremo E de un farallón rocoso que constituye la pared N del glaciar Crane, en la ensenada Exasperación, costa E de la península Tierra de O'Higgins.

A rock, north of Cameron Island, in the Swain Group, Windmill Islands. The region was photographed by USN Operation Highjump (1946-47), ANARE (1956 & 1962) and the Soviet Antarctic Expedition (1956). It was included in a survey of the islands north of Wilkes carried out by C.R. Eklund, scientific leader at Wilkes in 1958. Named by USACAN.
