flowing N into Brialmont Cove, Danco Coast, was photographed from the air by FIDASE in 1956-57; in association with the names of pioneers of aviation grouped in this area, named after Sir George Cayley (1773-1857), English engineer, the "father of aeronautics", who first defined the main principles of mechanical flight, 1796-1857, and also designed the first caterpillar tractor in 1826 (APC, 1960, p.3; BA chart 3560, 7.iv.1961).
