rising to 1185m S of Marescot Point, Trinity Peninsula, was called Nevado O. Pinochet after O. Pinochet de la Barra (Grupo Pinochet de la Barra, q.v.) (Chile. IGM, 1948a, sketch panorama following p.56); following survey by FIDS from "Hope Bay" in 1946, named descriptively (APC, 1955, p.8; BA chart 3205, 12.ii.1954). Discovery Dome, presumably after Discovery II ([Hunt], chart, 1951-52a). Pico Crown (Chile. DNH chart 1400, 1961; IHA, 1974, p.87).

An ice-covered peak (1,185 m) topped by a conspicuous crown-shaped ice formation. It forms the highest summit and the S end of Marescot Ridge and lies 10 mi E of Cape Roquemaurel on the NW side of Trinity Peninsula. Named by the FIDS following their survey of the area in 1946.

El nombre fue puesto por una Expedición Británica, después de un levantamiento de esta zona efectuado en 1946, por la forma de corona (Crown) de su cima. Picacho cubierto de hielo, de 1.134 metros de altura y cuya cima tiene la forma de corona. Está situado a 12 millas al E del cabo Roquemaurel de la costa occidental de la península Tierra de O'Higgins.
