A peak in the Commonwealth Range, 2771m high, marking the north side of the Keltie Glacier at its confluence with the Beardmore Glacier. Discovered in December 1908 by the BAE, 1907-09, Shackleton named this feature in honour of Sir Alfred Deakin, Prime Minister of Australia, who had supported the expedition.
