W coast of Brabant Island, was charted by FAE, 1903-05, and named Pointe Driencourt after Joseph-Fernand-Ludovic Driencourt (b.1858), French engineer who advised on the hydrographic equipment of FAE (Charcot, 1906b, p.470). Cap Driencourt (Matha and Rey, 1911, Pl. 3). Cape Driencourt (USHO, 1943, p.121). Cabo Driencourt (Argentina. MM chart 106, 1949; Pierrou, 1970, p.323; Chile. IHA, 1974, p.105). The point was photographed from the air by FIDASE, 1956-57. Driencourt Point (APC, 1960, p.4; BA chart 3560, 7.iv.1961).
