A group of scattered mountains and nunataks lying between the Filchner Mountains and Kurze Mountains in the Orvin Mountains of Queen Maud Land. Discovered by the GerAE under Ritscher, 1938-39, and named for Prof. Erich von Drygalski, leader of the GerAE of 1901-03. Remapped from air photos and survey by NorAE, 1956-60.

The range, flowed round by Vinjebreen and Sigynbreen, consists of a N part dominated by the nunataks of Sörensenskjera and Hemmestadskjera, and a S part dominated by the ridges of Fenriskjeften and its prominent mountain Matterhorn (Ulvetanna), Orvinfjella, Fimbulheimen, Neuschwabenland, Dronning Maud Land. Discovered during German Antarctic Expedition 1938/39 ('Neuschwabenland-Expedition') under Alfred Ritscher.
