Steep-sided mountain with three major peaks, the highest 2,300 m, standing close N of Young Nunataks in the Napier Mountains. Mapped by Norwegian cartographers from aerial photos taken by the Lars Christensen Expedition, 1936-37, and named Jokelen (the glacier). Remapped by ANARE from air photos taken in 1956, and named for T.J. Elkins, ionosphere physicist at Mawson in 1960.
