on Arrowsmith Peninsula flowing N into Müller Ice Shelf (q.v.), was surveyed by FIDS from Detaille Island and Horseshoe Island , 1955-57, and named North Heim Glacier (Heim Glacier, q.v.) (APC, 1959a, p.9; BA, 1961, p.189). Heim Glacier, North (BA, 1961, p.433). Following air photography by FIDASE in 1956-57, the feature was renamed Antevs Glacier, after Ernst Valdemar Antevs (b. 1888), American glacial geologist, in association with the names of glaciologists grouped in this area ([as including the ice shelf] APC, 1960, p.2; BA chart 3571, 14.vii.1961; [as a separate feature] BAS 250P sheet SQ 19-20/14 (Ext.), 1-DOS 1978; APC, 1986, p.3). Glacier on Arrowsmith Peninsula, Graham Land, flowing N between Seue Peaks and Boyle Mountains into Muller Ice Shelf, Lallemand Fjord. Named by UK-APC in 1960 after Ernst V. Antevs, American glacial geologist.

Al SW de bahía Lallemand, península Arrowsmith, costa occidental de la península Antártica. Antiguamente era llamado "North Heim" y se le reconocía un sector Norte u otro Sur. Posteriormente, y a solicitud de la USBGN se distinguieron los dos glaciares, reteniendo "Heim" para el del N y asignando un nuevo nombre para el glaciar del Sur: Antevs. El topónimo recuerda a Ernest Valdemar Antevs, nacido en 1888, geólogo norteamericano experto en glaciares.
