dividing Nordenskjöld Coast from Oscar II Coast, was surveyed by FIDS from "Hope Bay" in November 1947 and named after Capt. Alexander Fairweather, Master of Balµna, one of the barques of DWE (Balµna Valley, q.v.) (BA chart 3570, 27.vi.1952; APC, 1955, p.9; BA chart 3570, 27.ix.1957). Cabo Fairweather (Argentina. MM, 1953, p.324; Pierrou, 1970, p.356; Chile. IHA, 1974, p.121). Cabo Sinclair (Argentina. MM chart 121, 1954). Cap Fairweather (France. SHM, 1954, p.412). The cape was further surveyed by FIDS in 1955. Cabo Buen Tiempo [translation of English name] (Argentina. MM chart 129, 1957). Buen Tiempo (Merritt, 1959, p.436). Mys Ferveter (Soviet Union. Cape 705 m high, which is ice covered except for rocky exposures along its SE and E sides, lying midway between Drygalski Glacier and Evans Glacier on the E coast of Graham Land. Charted in 1947 by the FIDS, who named it for Alexander Fairweather, captain of the Dundee whaler Balaena which operated along the NE coast of Antarctic Peninsula in 1892-93.

Cartografiado en 1947 por el FIDS que le puso este nombre por Alexander Fairweather, capitán de la ballenera "Balaena" de la Compañía Dundee que operaba en la costa NE de la península Tierra de O'Higgins en 1892-1893. Cabo de 707 metros de altura, que se encuentra cubierto de hielo excepto su lado E en que se encuentra roca en la superficie, situado a igual distancia del glaciar Drygalski y la ensenada Evans, en la costa E de la península Tierra de O'Higgins.
