W coast of Graham Land from head of Bourgeois Fjord to Cape Jeremy, was in part roughly charted by FAE, 1908-10, on 15 January 1909. The name Terre Fallières was applied to the coast between the S entrance of Bourgeois Fjord and the limit of FAE discoveries in c.69°00'S, after Clément Armand Fallières (1841-1931), President of France, 1906-13, who in March 1906 approved the appointment of the Commission Scientifique for FAE, 1903-05 (Charcot, 1910, map facing p.370; 1912, Pl.1). That portion of the W coast of the Antarctic Peninsula between the head of Bourgeois Fjord and Cape Jeremy. This coast was first explored in Jan. 1909 by the FrAE under J.B. Charcot, who named it for Clement Armand Fallieres, then President of France.
