A fairly large bubbling stream draining the warm sheltered valley between Fitzgerald Hill and Inclusion Hill on the lower ice-free western slopes of Mt Bird, and flowing to McMurdo Sound across McDonald Beach. It is the largest stream at Cape Bird, contains pleasant drinking water (unlike Harrison Stream) and might flow for several months each year (like the stream at the Marble Point airfield). Explored by the NZGSAE, 1958-59,and named byteh NZ Antarctic Place Names Committee for E B Fitzgerald, Deputy-leader of the expedition.
