N entrance point of Port Lockroy, Wiencke Island, was roughly charted by FAE, 1903-05; surveyed by FIDS in 1944 and named from the metal Union Jack erected on the point (BA chart 3213, 6.x.1950; APC, 1955, p.10). Punta Flag (Chile. DNH chart 510, 1955; IHA, 1974, p.125).

Point which lies 0.3 mi ESE of Damoy Point and forms the N side of the entrance to Port Lockroy, Wiencke Island, in the Palmer Archipelago. Discovered by the FrAE, 1903-05, under Charcot. Named by the FIDS in 1944. When the FIDS base at Port Lockroy was established in 1944, a metal Union Jack was erected on this point.

Descubierta por la Expedición Antártica Francesa, 1903-1905 bajo el mando del Dr. Jean B. Charcot, denominada por el FIDS en 1944. Cuando la base FIDS del puerto Lockroy fue establecida en 1944, una bandera metálica se erigió en ese punto. Punta situada a 0,5 milla ESE punta Damoy y forma el lado N de la entrada del puerto Lockroy, isla Wiencke en el archipiélago de Palmer.
