SW entrance point of Deloncle Bay, Lemaire Channel, Graham Coast, was roughly charted by BeAE in February 1898; recharted by FAE, 1903-05, and named Pointe Glandaz after A. Glandaz, a Frenchman who assisted the expedition (Charcot, 1906b, p.326; 1908, map p.36). Cape Glandaz (USHO, 1943, p.138). Glandaz Point (APC, 1955, p.10; BA chart 3572, 25.vii.1958). The point was photographed from the air by FIDASE, 1956-57. Punta Glandaz (Chile. DNH chart 1502, 1962; IHA, 1974, p.138).

Fue descubierta por la Expedición Antártica Belga de 1897-1899 al mando del teniente Adrien de Gerlache. Cartografiado por la Expedición Antártica Francesa de 1903-1905 al mando del Dr. Jean B. Charcot, quien le dio el nombre de A. Glandaz. Punta que forma el lado S de la entrada a bahía Deloncle en la costa W de la península Tierra de O'Higgins.
