separating Bluff Island from Danco Coast, was discovered and roughly charted by Capt. Skidsmo of the whale-catcher Graham, which passed twice through the passage in pursuit of a whale, 20 March 1922, and which was later lost with all hands near the South Shetland Islands, 6 November 1924; named Graham's Passage after the ship (Lester's amendments to Johannessen, chart, [1919-20]; Lester, 1920-22a, Vol.6, p.153; Bagshawe, 1939, p.188; USHO, 1943, p.115). Pasaje de Graham (Argentina. MM chart 106, 1949). Pasaje Correa, after Capt. (N) Edelmiro Correa (1852-1906), of the Argentine Navy, who fought in the war against Paraguay (Argentina. MM, 1953, p.245; Pierrou, 1970, p.269). Pasaje Graham (Argentine. MM chart A-2-A, 1954). The passage was photographed from the air by FIDASE, 1956-57. Graham Passage (APC, 1960, p.4; BA chart 3566, 25.viii.1961). Paso Yelcho, after the Chilean cutter Yelcho, which under the command of Capt. L.A. Pardo (Pardo Ridge, q.v.) rescued members of BITAE from Elephant Island, 30 August 1916 (Chile. DNH chart 1501, 1962; IHA, 1974, p.307).

El nombre aparece por primera vez en la carta chilena del año 1962, asignado por el Instituto Hidrográfico de la Armada por el escampavía "Yelcho", que al mando del piloto Sr. Luis A. Pardo, auxiliara a los náufragos del "Endurance", rescatándolos el 30 de agosto de 1916. Paso que separa a la isla Gándara de la península continental que separa a bahía Hughes, por el N y bahía Charlotte por el S, en la costa W de la península Tierra de O'Higgins.
