A glacier about 7 km west of Cape Carr on the Wilkes Coast. Delineated from air photographs taken by USN Operation Highjump (1946-47) and named by USACAN after William May, passed midshipman on the tender Flying Fish, one of the ships of the US Exploring Expedition (1938-42) under Lieut. (later Rear Adm.) C. Wilkes.
