An icy headland, marked by several rock exposures, which forms the eastern, elevated portion of Botnneset Peninsula on the S side of Lutzow-Holm Bay. Mapped by Norwegian cartographers from air photos taken by the Lars Christensen Expedition, 1936-37, and named Austhovde (east knoll).

A hill about 21 m above sea level, about 3 km south-west of the station buildings at Mirny. Discovered by the members of the Soviet Antarctic Expedition, 1956, who called it Sopka Vetrov.
