The inlet was photographed from the air by USN, 1965-67. Glaciar Las Heras, referring to the ice tongue in the inlet after Gen. Juan Gregorio de Las Heras (1780-1866) (Argentina. Ice-filled inlet 12 mi long, in a NE-SW direction, and 6 mi wide, between Cape Little and Cape Fiske, along the E coast of Palmer Land. This inlet was photographed from the air by members of the USAS in December 1940, and in 1947 by members of the RARE under Ronne, who in conjunction with the FIDS charted it from the ground. Named by Ronne for Louis Keller of Beaumont, Texas, who contributed supplies to Ronne's expedition.

Esta ensenada fue fotografiada desde el aire por miembros del USAS en diciembre de 1940, y en 1947 por miembros del RARE al mando del capitán de fragata Finne Ronne, quienes en conjunto con el FIDS la cartografiaron desde tierra. El nombre le fue puesto por Ronne y corresponde apellido de Louis Keller de Beaumont, Texas, que contribuyó con abastecimientos para la expedición de Ronne. Ensenada llena de hielo de unas 10 millas de largo en dirección NE-SW y 6 millas de ancho, entre cabo Little y cabo Light, sobre la costa E de la península de Tierra O'Higgins.
