Mapped from air photographs taken by the US Navy. Named by USACAN after Cdr. D.F. Kent, USN, logistics officer to Admiral Dufek at the outset of USN Operation Deepfreeze in 1956-57.

Donald F. Kent, USN, logistics officer to Admiral Dufek at the outset of USN Operation Deep Freeze I, 1955-56.
