Fue cartografiada por primera vez por la Expedición Antártica Francesa de 1903-1905, al mando del Dr. Jean B. Charcot, quien le dio este nombre que corresponde al apellido de F. Libois, segundo mecánico y carpintero del buque expedicionario "Français". Pequeña bahía en el lado W del islote Cholet, que penetra entre punta Rozo, extremo NW del islote Cholet, y punta Paumelle, el extremo NW de la isla Booth, frente a la costa W de la península Tierra de O'Higgins. |
