one of the Seal Nunataks (q.v.), Nordenskj"ld Coast, was sighted by Larsen in December 1893; called Jason Insel after the expedition ship (Friederichsen, 1895, map facing p.316); mapped by SwAE in 1902 and named Nunatak Dallmann after Kapt. E. Dallmann (Dallmann Bay, q.v.) (Nordenskj"ld and others, 1904c, map p.232-33; Chile. IHA, 1974, p.91). Dallmanns Nunatak (Nordenskj"ld and others, 1904a, Del. 1, end map). Fue cartografiado por primera vez en 1902 por la Expedición Antártica Sueca de 1901-1903, al mando del comandante Otto Nordenskjöld, quien le dio el nombre por el capitán ballenero alemán Eduard Dallmann. En algunas cartas de 1947 figuró como roca Dallmann. Está situado al NW del nunatak Bruce y separado algo más de 2 millas de este, en los nunataks Seal frente a la costa oriental de la península Tierra de O'Higgins. |
