A rocky promontory lined with black basalt dykes stretching into the sea from the polar plateau. Named for Colin Christiansen who wintered at Davis in 1977. During this winter he visited Christiansen Point several times while looking for Wilkin's records at nearby Walkabout Rocks. He found the records which had not been located for 20 years. Christiansen had previously wintered at Casey 1975 and Mawson 1971. |
