A flat plain measuring 3 km by 1 km with its long axis NNW, located between the head of Crooked Fjord and Adamson Bay in the Vestfold Hills. A boulder covering protects powdery diatomaceous sediments. A few small lakes and depressions occur on its surface. Its height ranges from sea level to 20 m.

A glacier 133 km long, flowing northward to the Nimrod Glacier (Ross Dependency) from the Polar plateau between the Miller Range and Queen Elizabeth Range (Ross Dependency). Discovered by a New Zealand party from the TAE in 1958. Named after Dr G.W. Marsh, a member of the party.

First sighted by an ANARE seismic traverse party in 1957. Photographed by ANARE in 1958 and 1960. Named after J. Marsh, helicopter engineer with the ANARE Prince Charles Mountains survey party in 1972.

A reef awash, about 15 km off the Mawson Coast, Mac.Robertson Land. Discovered on 13 February, 1931, by BANZARE (1929-31) under Sir Douglas Mawson, who named it after the boatswain of the Discovery.

Maruff, field assistant (survey), with the ANARE Expedition on the MV Nella Dan, 1965, a leader of one of the survey parties which carried out a tellurometer traverse passing through the Hansen Mountains in 1965.

An ice-covered island, about 33 km long and 22 km wide, rising to about 471 m, within the Shackleton Ice Shelf, north-west of Henderson Island, off the coast of Queen Mary Land. Discovered by AAE (1911-14). Named by Sir Douglas Mawson after Sir David Orme Masson of Melbourne, a member of the AAE Advisory Committee.

A broken mountain chain, approximately 13 km east of and parallel to the David Range, Mac.Robertson Land. The peaks of the range were first seen miraged on the horizon during the early hours of 4 January, 1930, by BANZARE (1929-31). They were again seen the following day from the aeroplane. The range was mapped on 14 February, 1931, by BANZARE from the Discovery.
