A black rocky point at the eastern extremity of Sydney Cove, Heard Island. Named after the sealing ship Magnet from which Peter Kemp first sighted Heard Island 27 November 1833.

A small island situated in the north-east part of Prydz Bay about 5 km from the coast of Vestfold Hills and about 5 km north-west of Davis. Charted from air photographs taken by the Lars Christensen Expedition (1936-37). Visited by an ANARE party led by Phillip Law on 3 March, 1954. Named because magnetic observations taken by J. Brooks showed the declination to be anomalous.

Bunger Hills. Charted by the SAE in 1956.

The strait lies between Fuller Island and Aviatorov Peninsula. Chartered by the Soviet Antarctic Expedition in 1956.

A prominent rock feature east of Halle Flat in the Allan Hills. Discovered by the NZARP Allan Hills Expedition (1964). Named after its resemblance to a pre-Roman earthwork of the same name in Dorsetshire, England.

The name occurs on the first accurate map of the Island which was prepared by Leslie Russel Blake, Surveyor with the Australasian Antarctic Expedition, 1911-14. So named because it is the largest lake on the Island.

An oval lake in a dry valley on Stornes Peninsula in the Larsemann Hills lying about 1.2 km west of Blundell Peak.

A small hill on the S side of Filla Island in the Rauer Group.

A steep point projecting seaward from the coastal ice cliffs on the western side of Vincennes Bay. Delineated from air photographs taken by USN Operation Highjump (1946-47). Named by USACAN after Ensign C.W. Mallory, USN, who took part in USN Operation Windmill (1947-48).

The western headland of Mt Andrei between Cave Bay and West Bay on Heard Island. Named after the Mangoro, a whaling factory ship under Captain Evensen, who raised the British flag on Heard Island in 1910.

A glacier flowing north-eastwards into the sea north of Mount Gorton in Oates Land. So named by the New Zealand Geological and Survey Antarctic Expedition (1963-64) because of an airdrop of extra comforts from an aircraft which took the Governor-General of New Zealand on a flight over this area.

A glacier, just south of Harbour Bluff in the Mawson Escarpment, flowing into the Lambert Glacier. Photographed by ANARE in 1956 and 1960. A geodetic survey station was established on Harbour Headland in 1972 by the ANARE Prince Charles Mountains survey party. Named after John Manning, surveyor-in-charge of field survey operations during the ANARE Prince Charles Mountains surveys in 1969, 1971, 1972, 1973 and 1974.

An island about 1.9 km north of Broknes Peninsula in the Larsemann Hills. Plotted from air photographs taken by the Lars Christensen Expedition 1936-37 and called Vikxy (Bay Island) by Norwegian cartographers.

A coastal lagoon about 5 kilometres long near Long Beach, Heard Island. Named after John Manning, Senior Surveyor with the (then) Australian Division of National Mapping, who was a member of the Australian National Mapping Expedition, 1980.

A rock massif in the eastern part of the Aramis Range, Prince Charles Mountains, lying between Loewe Massif and McLeod Massif. Plotted from ANARE air photographs. First visited by a party from the ANARE Prince Charles Mountains survey in 1969. Named after John Manning, surveyor at Mawson in 1967, surveyor-in-charge of field survey operations during the ANARE Prince Charles Mountains surveys of 1969, 1971 and 1972.

A group of nunataks on the eastern side of the southern part of the Amery Ice Shelf, about 39 km NNE of Pickering Nunatak. Photographed by ANARE aircraft in 1957. Named after Sgt. S.A. Manning, RAAF, airframe fitter at Mawson in 1958.

A snowfield feeding the central portion of the Starshot Glacier, separating the Holyoake Range from the Surveyors Range. Discovered by the N.Z. Geological Expedition (1964-65). Named after G. Mansergh, a geologist with the expedition.

A rock outcrop at the edge of the ice cliff about 1.5 km WSW of Mawson. It is about 60 m long and 15-30 m wide and has a rounded top caused by glaciation.
