Sensor details

Sensor Name : ASTER
Sensor Description : Advanced Spaceborne Thermal Emission and Reflection Radiometer Level 1A and level 1B data. The L1A data are reconstructed, unprocessed instrument data at full resolution. It consists of the image data, the radiometric coefficients, the geometric coefficients and other auxiliary data without apllying the coefficients to the image data. The L1B data has these coefficents applied for radiometric calibration and geometric resampling.
Spatial Resolution : VNIR 15m, SWIR 30m & TIR 90m
Additional Information :
Platform : Terra
Description : "On December 18, 1999, NASA launched Terra. Terra is a multi-national, multi-disciplinary mission involving partnerships with the aerospace agencies of Canada and Japan. Managed by NASA's Goddard Space Flight Center, the mission also receives key contributions from the Jet Propulsion Laboratory and Langley Research Center. Terra is an important part of NASA's Science Mission, helping us better understand and protect our home planet."

Copyright : This ASTER data will be provided to you (AAD) at no cost due to your involvement with NASA-funded research, or your current status as an affiliated user. Redistribution Policy: Redistribution of ASTER data obtained at no cost through this NASA agreement is limited by certain restrictions. Researchers and educators may only redistribute these data to other researchers and educators. These data may not be redistributed to the general public or others who do not fit the criteria stated above. Any users not complying with this policy will be billed for all data received at no cost and will be subject to loss of their privilege to obtain any additional ASTER data at no cost. *NASA-funded researchers receive funds directly from NASA through a grant, contract, or cooperative agreement. Affiliated users fall into one of three categories: * Researchers who receive NASA research funds through a third party * Researchers from interagency and international partners affiliated with NASA through joint projects * Educational users including both NASA-sponsored and non-NASA-sponsored
