- The station is a 1.5" by 3 feet 6" steel hexagonal rod cemented in a high rock north of Wilkes Station. A 9 foot high steel snowpole is fitted over this rod for sighting purposes and is easily removed. A hoseclip stamped "NMA/S/39" is attached to the snowpole.
