All scientific data collected by the Australian Antarctic program (AAp) are eventually described in the Catalogue of Australian Antarctic and Subantarctic Metadata (CAASM). CAASM can be used to search through AAp data descriptions, and it also provides links to access publicly available datasets, which can either be immediately downloaded or obtained from the Australian Antarctic Data Centre (AADC).
Processed data from January 2025 Survey LiDAR capture. Data processed externally by Fugro Australia Pty Ltd. received November 2025. Survey data captured by Natalie Williams, AAD. Aerial LiDAR survey by Riegl minivux from drone piloted DJI M350. RPA (Remotely piloted aircraft) UAV (unmanned aerial vehicle). Aerial survey covers Davis station and extended station limits. This was divided into Davis main base, Davis Ext NE and Davis Ext SW. Additionally tripod mounted Terrestrial Laser Scans (TLS) of selected station infrastructure highlighted as priority for AAD infrastructure team was selected to be processed by Fugro and is included in this dataset. The terrestrial scans comprise the Davis utility building external and internal scans, and adjoining external scans of site services including fuel line. Processed LiDAR outputs include Imagery, Point Cloud including Digital Terrain Model (DTM), and Metadata.
