Small nunatak rising to 208m on the SW edge of Balkan Snowfield just N of Contell Glacier, Livingston Island. Located 1km E of Atlantic Club Peak, 1.22km SE of Sinemorets Hill, 2.74km W by N of Castillo Nunatak and 950m N by E of the highest point of CharrĂșa Ridge, 333m. Projecting slightly above the ice sheet with 0.3ha rocky ground exposed in summer. Due to its location, an important landmark in the course of field work. Bulgarian mapping in 1996. Named for Krum Velchev, meteorologist at St. Kliment Ohridski in several seasons since 1993.
