Narrative

The archipelago extends from the SW coast of Anvers Island over about 100 km to the NE coast of Renaud Island, between Biscoe Islands and Palmer Archipelago, W side of the Antarctic Peninsula. Discovered during German Antarctic Expedition 1873/74 under Captain Eduard Dallmann (1830-1896).

Named For

Kaiser Wilhelm I. (1797-1888), King of Prussia and German Emperor (1871-1888).
