rising to 1085m N of Louis-Philippe Plateau, Trinity Peninsula, was roughly mapped by FAE, 1837-40, on 27 February 1838, and named Mont d'Urville after Capt. J.-S.-C. Dumont d'Urville (d'Urville Island, q.v.) (d'Urville, 1838, map following p.1170; Vincendon-Dumoulin, atlas, 1847, Pl. 8). Mount D'Urville (Donald, chart, [1892-93]; BA chart 3205, 1.vi.1901). D'Urville Berg (Friederichsen, 1895, Tafel 7 facing p.304). Monte D'Urville (Riso Patron S., 1908, end map; Pierrou, 1970, p.331; Chile. IHA, 1974, p.108). d'Urvillefjellet (Aagaard, 1930, end map).
