off-shore NNE of Cape Ducorps, Trinity Peninsula, following survey by FIDS from "Hope Bay", 1960-61, were named after Charles-François-Eugène Gervaize (b. 1816), French naval officer in Astrolabe of FAE, 1837-40 (APC, 1964, p.3; BAS 250 sheet SP 21-22/13, 1-DOS 1974).
