rising to 1360m NNE of Larsen Inlet, Nordenskjöld Coast, was photographed from the air by FIDASE, 1956-57, and surveyed from the ground by FIDS from "Hope Bay", 1960-61; in association with the names of pioneers of overland mechanical transport grouped in this area, named after Richard Hornsby and Sons of Grantham, who designed and constructed several highly successful chain-track vehicles for the War Office (the first caterpillar tractors), 1904-10 (APC, 1964, p.3; BAS 250 sheet SQ 21-22/1 (Ext.), 1-DOS 1974).
