Narrative

rising to c. 1000m on the W side of Havre Mountains (q.v.), NW Alexander Island, NE of Umber Island, was possibly sighted by FAE, 1908-10, in January 1909; following survey by BAS from "Fossil Bluff", 1975-76, named after Alec Edward Simon (b.1947), BAS aircraft mechanic, Adelaide, summers 1972-76 (APC, 1980, p.5).
