rising to c.160 m SSW of Cape Mascart, Adelaide Island, was photographed from the air by RARE in 1947 and surveyed from the ground by FIDS from "Detaille Island", 1958-59; in association with the names of glaciologists grouped in this area, named after Philipp Christian Visser (1882-1955), Dutch diplomat and mountaineer who made classic investigations of glaciers in the Karakoram Range, Kashmir (APC, 1960, p.8; BA chart 3571, 14.vii. 1961).
